Project Development

Alsterdorfer Winkel

Greener living on the Alster canals

In 2003, Bayerische Hausbau Development completed the Alsterdorfer Winkel residential development project on the banks of the Alster, where a lake, which is actually a river, meanders past old willow trees. Forty-three condominiums were built according to the buyers' wishes on a site situated close enough to the city center to feel the heartbeat of the metropolis but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle of the city: 24 individually designed apartments, eight penthouses with floor-to-ceiling windows and 11 two-storey "house-within-a-house " apartments that have separate entrances, basements, hobby rooms and gardens – just like townhouses.

In the middle yet far away

The balconies and rooftop gardens offer a view over the trees, bushes and gardens and an opportunity to enjoy some fresh air as the city park, Hamburg's green lung, is located at the end of the street. Winterhude and Eppendorf, two trendy districts, are located in the immediate vicinity. And anyone wanting to do some serious shopping can travel to the city center – and back to their idyll in the heart of the city – in a quarter of an hour on the underground train.
